Hi, I’m Nicole!

Nicole Bunting is a fiber and mixed media artist who lives in Richmond, Virginia. She has a BFA in Craft and Material Studies with a concentration in fibers from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and an AFA in Studio Art from The School of Art + Design at Montgomery College. She has previously taught Introduction to Textiles and Intermediate Textiles as an adjunct at VCU. Nicole also regularly teaches weaving classes at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond and in the greater Richmond area.

Nicole likes to travel whenever she gets the chance and when she’s lucky these places prove to inspire her. Some of her favorite adventures have led to experiencing the slot canyons and red rocks in Arizona and Utah, the stalactites and rim stone in Luray Caverns, Virginia, and the Baltic rocks of the Alcantara Gorge in Sicily. It is these places that she pulls from her memory to include in her work.

Besides her love for art, Nicole is also an avid foodie, car enthusiast, and dog lover. Her own English Bulldog (Cue) and Pit Bull (Chutney) are always by her side.
